Looking Outwards: The Here and Now

The social order, the world of the sacred, history and the great stories of the

past—all these are very grand and important themes. But art does not always

have to reach so high. Sometimes it is enough just to look around ourselves

and notice what our life is like here, now, in this place, at this time. I think it is important

create artwork that reflects the world around us currently, to live in the now and not

dwell in the cloudy past.
